Mechanochemistry of lithium nitride under hydrogen gas.
Hydrogen uptake during the mechanochemistry of lithium nitride under 9 MPa hydrogen pressure has been analyzed by means of in situ solid-gas absorption and ex situ X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements. In situ hydrogenation curves show two H-sorption steps leading to an overall hydrogen uptake of 9.8 wt% H after 3 hours of milling. The milled end-products consist of nanocrystalline (∼10 nm) LiN...
متن کاملAmmonia-induced robust photocatalytic hydrogen evolution of graphitic carbon nitride.
We report a new and effective method to prepare high activity graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) by a simple ammonia etching treatment. The obtained g-C3N4 displays a high BET surface area and enhanced electron/hole separation efficiency. The hydrogen evolution rates improved from 52 μmol h(-1) to 316.7 μmol h(-1) under visible light.
متن کاملPromotion of hydrogen release from ammonia borane with magnesium nitride.
Hydrogen release from ammonia borane (NH(3)BH(3), AB) can be greatly promoted by mechanical milling with magnesium nitride (Mg(3)N(2)). For example, a post-milled 6AB/Mg(3)N(2) sample started to release hydrogen from ∼65 °C and gave a material-based hydrogen capacity of ∼11 wt% upon heating to 300 °C. In addition to the improved dehydrogenation kinetics, the 6AB/Mg(3)N(2) sample also showed sat...
متن کاملInfluence of resonant and non-resonant vibrational excitation of ammonia molecules in gallium nitride synthesis
Attempts on the selective promotion of gallium nitride (GaN) growth were investigated by deploying laserassisted vibrational excitation of reactant molecules, which deposits energy selectively into specific molecules and activate the molecules towards the selected reaction pathways. Laser-assisted metal organic chemical vapor deposition (LMOCVD) of GaN was studied using a wavelength-tunable CO2...
متن کاملBoron trifluoride etherate; highly efficient catalyst for synthesis of tert-butylamides via modified Ritter reaction in solvent free condition
Highly efficient method for the preparation of N-tert-butyl amides by reaction of nitriles with tertbutylacetateis described using boron trifluoride etherate in solvent free condition. Selective amidation ofbenzonitrile in the presence of acetonitrile was also achieved.
